Sunday Bulletin

As the Thanksgiving holyday approaches, we gather together to offer our gratitude for all the blessings of life, love and wisdom. We come to recognize how our life is enriched by our experiences when they are viewed with a spiritual ideal. Even the most challenging of times can offer beautiful and profound lessons, if we maintain an awareness of the source of all.

“A grateful heart is a loving heart… A devoted and grateful heart can witness God’s grace all around and an enlightened mind feels the divine presence everywhere.”

—Swami Premananda, Seven Mystic Holydays

“I have come to earth to see God and to share the divine attributes of my soul. This is not a selfish purpose, but one I share with all creation as all beings evolve to the perfection of God. That for which I have come to earth will also draw my soul to heaven and beyond.”

“Whoever approaches Nature’s wisdom with reverence, patience and love will see God. The bountiful cosmic Nature is filled with the presence of God speaking to us in our own immortal tongue. Through trees and flowers, streams and mountains, birds and beasts He relates to us profound lessons in compassion and justice and truth—mystical messages that ‘civilized’ man has yet to learn.”

—Swami Kamalananda, Reflections on Still Waters
