“Who is a Renunciate?”

Srimati Karuna, Minister
Sunday Bulletin

Let us recognize renunciation as the empowering act of liberating the self from physical and mental attachments. Liberation of consciousness in dynamic serenity prepares us for Divine realization. Renunciation is the basis of our spiritual life.

“Even meditation on the cosmic consciousness will not bring liberation from limitation and bondage unless it is practiced with complete renunciation of objective desires and of individualized self-consciousness.

It is not the Yogi who wants personal and phenomenal powers, but the one who seeks divine illumination that attains to the realization of God.”

Swami Premananda
Raja Yoga: The Yoga of God-Realization

”Try to remember you are a traveler here and you will move on to dissimilar and fascinating worlds. Do not limit your thought to one life or one world. Remember the vastness of Spirit within you.”

Swami Yogananada

”The butterfly emerges from the caterpillar’s cocoon transformed by its own destiny, the inheritor of its own beauty; man at last emerges from the cocoon of vain pursuits to inherit his own destiny, the sacred kingdom of his soul in conscious oneness with his creator.”
