“Arise! Awake!”

Srimati Karuna, Minister
Sunday Bulletin

Each morning the day is reborn. And each day we strive to resurrect every aspect of our being with a higher consciousness. If we look carefully, we may discover that the symbols of the eternal and infinite reality of creation abide everywhere. And we begin to realize the inner power of resurrection. This mystic path of Self-realization unfolds stages of awareness and enlightenment associated with human consciousness as it ascends through various centers of energy and light. This is the awakening and the ascendance of our divine potential.

“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?”

Matthew 5:44-46

“Where the mind is without fear and the head held high; Where knowledge is free; Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls; Where words come out from the depth of truth; Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection; Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit; Where the mind is led forward by Thee into ever-widening thought and action;
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.”

Rabindranath Tagore

“Arise, awake from the slumber of ignorance! Receive guidance from God-realized Souls and gain the knowledge of the supreme Self. It is extremely difficult to walk barefooted on the sharp edge of a razor, but it is still more difficult to follow the path of the Self.”

“There is a state of self-existence which transcends all others. Imperfection does not abide there. There time is powerless, and limitations of duality are completely rejected. Even death cannot enter there. That is the state of absolute bliss. That is the state of immortality. There is a flame of subjective illumination which reveals the immortality of the Self. It is Pure-Consciousness. It is birthless and deathless. It is self-existence, eternal, illimitable, and absolute. It is not destroyed with the dissolution of the body.”

Katha Upanishad
