“Sowing Seeds”
Srimati Karuna, Minister
Sunday Bulletin
In what soil do we sow our seeds? We set ourselves up for success when we consider the ripe time and conditions into which we offer our sincerest efforts. We want to give the proper environment to nourish our ideals with God’s blessings.
We don’t want to thoughtlessly scatter our attention. Focus and determination reap their own rewards when we give full care to the growth of our spiritual life.
“That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea. Such large crowds gathered around Him that He got into a boat and sat down, while all the people stood on the shore. And He told them many things in parables, saying,
‘A farmer went out to sow his seed. And as he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it. Some fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow. But when the sun rose, the seedlings were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the seedlings. Still other seed fell on good soil and produced a crop—a hundredfold, sixtyfold, or thirtyfold.’
He who has ears, let him hear.”
Matthew 13:1-9
”Some realize the Self as glorious, some speak of it as glorious, others hear of it as glorious; and still others, though hearing, do not know it at all.”
Srimad Bhagaavad Gita
