“In Heavenly Peace”
Srimati Karuna, Minister
Sunday Bulletin
As we reflect on the birth of Divine Consciousness, may that blessed peace establish within us the purity of devotion. And may we awaken to that Eternal Light of Soul.
We invite you and your family and friends to join us for our Christmas service with the joyous music of the brass quintet, bell choir, harp and carols. Following the service all are welcome to join us for a vegetarian potluck lunch in the Gandhi Memorial Center.
“Every person craves self-composure and strength of calmness, yet few people are willing to devote even a few minutes of their day to find themselves in silence and solitude. Yet we can free ourselves from the habits of worldliness and get into the peace of self-subjectivity in many beautiful, meditative ways.
For instance, some people enjoy absorbing themselves in the thought of being part of the all-pervasive beauty and peace of God. They walk alone, ‘losing themselves’ in the company of God in nature, communing with the vastness of the heavens above them or answering the hypnotic invitation whispered from a woodland stream at their feet.
Who would’t be blessed by the subjective adoration? A love of the ‘inner life’ includes finding in the quietness and loveliness of the world surrounding us a self-revealing subjective calm. This comprehensive mood of inspiration is a prerequisite for meditation. The habits of quietness, reverie and reverence for nature are themselves important components of meditation.”

The Mystic Cross
My soul rejoices and sings
in the presence of holiness.
It is the light that shines
within every being of creation.
The dawn of this light
is the daily birth of divinity.
The glorious morning
of the awakened soul
brings hope and joy.
It blesses us with peace
each time we unite
in the stillness and silence
of our hearts.
When that light appears,
the soul feels its worth.
