“A Star in the East”
Srimati Karuna, Minister
Sunday Bulletin
When we look upon the night’s sky we marvel at the constellations of stars glittering the galaxies within our view. Often our eyes gravitate to a brilliant and flickering star that holds our attention. It illumines our mind and fills our heart. We begin to follow the light that fills us with meaning and purpose to the farthest point, and yet, it is the nearest to us. It is the light within ourselves.
“This is the way to attain spiritual illumination. Fix your vision at the spiritual eye. Therein visualize a circular effulgence, like the full moon, brilliant but soothing, at the center of that effulgence a deep blue disk, and in the heart of that blue disk a shining star. Thus, with vision fixed and consciousness established at the spiritual eye practice meditation.”
Kaushitaki Upanishad

Light on Kriya Yoga
”There is a state of consciousness, an inner serenity, wherein the body, mind and heart rest in the illumination of soul. In this realm of spiritual revelation we realize subjective freedom or moksha. It is the realization of our highest Self. It is the state wherein no change in outward conditions can disturb our inner peace. It is an awareness of God’s presence everywhere and always.”
