This year our seven-week Kriya Yoga Meditation Series will take place on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. Our usual Sunday worship service will take a slightly different format to offer time to unfold the purpose, ideal and technique of Kriya. This Kriya series is for all who aspire to the practice and ideal in the life of yoga.

Let us explore the profound mystical source of Yoga that forms our sacred spiritual heritage of God and Gurus.

We see that the greatest power lies within the most subtle and that the subtle alone leads to the universal and finally beyond that to perfection itself.

The mystic path of Self-realization comprises the stages of awareness and enlightenment associated with human consciousness as it ascends through various centers of energy and light. This is the awakening and the ascendance of our divine potential.

According to the philosophy and tradition of Yoga and meditation, six centers of light and illumination are associated within this stairway of ascension within the spinal column. Often depicted as a beautiful lotus, for the lotus unfolds its inherent purity and loveliness to light, these centers are perceived in meditation.

Each center is perceived differently as vibration and light at different stages of life energy. The whole philosophy of meditation is contained within this mystic form. By concentration, sublime self-subjectivity, and meditation, we ascend in awareness through perception of the sensory world, the worlds of relationship and change, through mind-realms, through heart and feeling realms and through spirit realms to the consciousness of the Absolute.
