There comes a time in every life when days of doubt, despair, misery and misgiving flood our experience. Some days are spent in gloom and sadness while others are filled with productive action or spent in subjective contemplation. Even the enlightened soul at some point or other has encountered the obstacles to living free from doubt. How did they overcome their fear and worry? How does anyone find such freedom?
“The man of doubting mind is uncertain about this world, he is in utter darkness regarding the truth of the world beyond, and he finds happiness nowhere. O Dhananjaya, he who has transcended the limiting effect of action by the performance of action and has overcome doubt by wisdom, such a man of self-realization is never enchained by action. Therefore, O Bharata, cutting asunder with the sword of wisdom this doubt, born of ignorance of the Self, which is embedded in thy heart, become established on Yoga and be awakened.”
